Wake Me Up When September Ends

September 2009: A bittersweet month

In the beginning of this month, I had my mock exams, and there's only one word for me to describe the exam: HORRIBLE! I don't even wanna talk about it anymore, it's so depressing. D:

Then things became awesome after the exam... IT'S MY HOLIDAY! I have hols for like, around three weeks. :P

And then things sort of went downhill, especially to the Korean entertainment world. The DBSK lawsuit thing is still underway, but it's about to be resolved. However, I'm still fearful of the outcome of this result, and so does other DBSK fans.

Next is 2PM. Jay Park Jaebeom, the leader, was involved in a controversy about a comment he made in his Myspace four years ago, saying that Korea is gay, something like that. Somehow, someone found this comment and spread it to the Internet. Korean netizens were enraged and mercilessly bashed Jay non-stop. He formally apologized about the comment, however, the netizens and anti-fans were not wavered. They continuously demanded Jay to be kicked out from 2Pm and created lots of petition bla bla, even a suicide petition!" =.= Like wtf. Chansung (I think it's him) and Wooyoung showed their support to Jay by posting stuff in their respective cyworlds, something like we'll go through this together, something like that. However, the netizens quickly critisized both of them. In conclusion, the whole thing was way too fucked up. And four days after the whole fiasco started, Jay released an official statement in his official fancafe, stating that he's leaving 2PM and really really sorry about the stuff he said and very sorry to his fans and other members of 2PM. On the same day, he left Korea. Reaction were explosive! Most fans were really REALLY sad, on that day, many posts in soompi were like "why Jay? Why?!". More or less like that. And lots of not-2PM fans were expressing their support and encouragement to Hottest (2PM Official Fanclub).

At this time, I wasn't a fan of 2PM. BUT! This news is like EVERYWHERE in every Korean-related-entertainment stuff. Fans are discussing about, endless debates and petitions. Amelia is particularly upset about this whole thing. She's a huge fan of 2PM. Basically, she was quite emo about it and I ended up getting more involved into this whole Jay thing, which I'm really glad of right now, because I became a fan of 2PM. When Jay left Korea (08/09/2009), and I went to 2PM thread in soompi to check out the news, I saw pics of him in the airport. He looked so sad and his head was cast down the whole time. :( He gave his last interview, which I had read. To be honest, I'm quite emotional, and seeing the utter sadness on his face, combined with the injustice he had to go through, made me cry for quite some time. I cried and cried for half an hour (more or less).

I've only became a fan just last few days and I feel really sad that I didn't take any interest in them much much earlier. That doesn't matter much though. After Jay left, lots of people were surprised at his decision. Some netizens that bashed him were like "Wow, I didn't expect him to leave the group and Korea" or bla bla. -.- Fucking idiots. They just bashed him for fun. Anyway, lots of celebrities were showing their support either by speaking out boldly, which some of the older celebs had done, and writing ambiguous message which was related to Jay. It's really nice to see the support that Jay got. He has gotta know that there are lots of people who cared for him. Being a Korean celebrity is a huge challenge and a huge sacrifice. Currently, Hottest are boycotting JYP and the 6-member 2PM, which I'm not really happy about. The boys need support from fans, and now they have to face the boycott.

Anyway, there's a news recently. JYP released an official statement already, that 2PM will continue group activities as a 6-member group. Shortly after this statement was released, Wooyoung posted a message on his cyworld, "When you are set to live, you face death. If you are set to face death, you live". Many people (ok, everyone) said this message was about Wooyoung's feelings about the 6 member group activities and Jay.

Moving on to other groups. SS501 got a minor problem as well. Hyunjoong got H1N1. Not serious, but still, so unlucky. =.= Anyway, he recovered already by now.

Then there's Super Junior. Few days ago Kangin was arrested because he's related in an assault case. Some people said he was assaulting other people whereas he and SM said that he was just a witness. However, Kangin was recently inducted for assault and will have a hearing (I think).

This all happened in September folks, and it's just the middle of the month. -_-

Basically 2009 is a bad year for the boy bands in Korea. Someone from SHINee (Onew I think, or was it Minho, or Key, hmm, not so sure) lost his teeth earlier this year, DBSK's lawsuit, Jay's controversy, Kangin's arrest and Daesung's accident (he was involved in an accident last month and broke his leg or something, till now he hasn't completely recover).

Meanwhile the girl group are rising and increasing. Debuting this year are 2NE1 (love their music XD), T-Ara (no interest in them... yet), 4minute (dislike them, enough said), f(x) (WOOT!! MY FAVOURITE GIRL GROUP!). Soon to debut punya HAM (stands for Heart and Mind), Lady Collection (from YG) and Secret (from some unknown company). The girl groups are enjoying immense success as well this year. Hmm, the girl groups are rising and the boy bands are falling. Right now, there's too much drama in K-Pop world.

Anyway, f(x)! La cha la cha ta ta~ I LOVE AMBER! This group is from SM Entertainment. They're not like SNSD, as in, cutesy cutesy type, which appeal a lot to me. I'm sick of cutesy stuff. -_- The members are Victoria, Amber, Luna, Sulli and Krystal. I love all of them. XD

Back to 2PM. My favourite is Wooyoung~ I must tell the story of how I began to fall in love with them. I was watching Star Golden Bell Idol Special episode in Youtube few days ago (ugh, the video was deleted recently -.- just when I wanna rewatch this episode). The guests are SHINee, SNSD, Kara, 2PM and 2AM. It's a really funny episode. Anyway, there's this part where they discuss about favourite dance moves, and Sooyoung (SNSD) talked about a dance part by 2PM. So, Taecyeon showed it by performing that move. It's from their song "I Hate You" and this part is really HOT! The move was wiping the chin slowly and slide the hand down the body (Lol, I'm describing it, made me feel like a pervert or something -.- ...). When I saw Taec did this part, I DIED! (not literally die of course). IT'S SO HAWT! After seeing this part, I immediately went to find the performance LOL! But most of the perf I found only show one or two members doing it nia -.- .. and I can't find a video where Wooyoung did this move (LOL). Anyway, I told Amelia about my fav part of this song then told her how I can't find a good performance of showing all of them doing this, then she told me the performance date, which I immediately find in Youtube, which I found it, which I immediately loaded it, and when it load finish, and I watched it, and I saw that part, and I died. THAT VIDEO SHOWED SIX MEMBERS DOING IT! EVEN IF NOT SEVEN, SIX IS REALLY GOOD LIAO!!! (This seems really OOC of me, lol)

I really like this intrumental song by Ryuichi Sakamoto, called "Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence". It's a really nice song, the melody is peaceful. Highly recommended for people to listen to this beautiful song. :D
