2PM’s leader Park Jaebeom has quit for good, after it was announced on JYPE’s website on February 25th, Hottests in Korea and from all over the world are in shock.
Excerpts from JYP Entertainment’s online letter:
“On December 22nd, 2009, Jaebeom confessed to Jung Wook representative that he had done something wrong during Again and Again promotions. Apparently, it was far more serious than his MySpace controversy.
The six other members were not notified then as they were busy with year-end activities. On January 3rd, 2010, everyone of us (along with the members) sat down for a discussion and came to an agreement 3 days later that it was no longer possible for Park Jaebeom to continue activities along with 2PM.
We thus decided to terminate our exclusive contract with Jaebeom.”
JYPE stated that Jaebeom’s social impulses were a private matter and will not be revealed. They expressed that it was difficult to reveal the details of Park Jaebeom’s offenders who had intruded into his privacy and posted the comments.
JYPE had planned for Jaebeom’s comeback back in November 2009, with the idea of a return in April 2010, to which Jaebeom himself agreed. The plan was for Jaebeom to return to Korea in the 3rd week of February 2010 and have a press conference before resuming activities with 2PM in April. This comeback news were all kept secret, with the aim of protecting Jaebeom and 2PM. But it has now all become void.

What a fucking sick joke.
I cannot believe the reason given by JYPE for the catalyst of JYPE terminating Jay's contract. A big mistake done by Jay during Again and Again promotion... I'm thankful that JYPE didn't say Jay has a terminal disease or illness of some kind, but this... Well, I can't accept this reason as well. Quite frankly, I don't think I will ever accept any reasons that was uttered by JYPE. However, back to this supposedly serious mistake. What did Jay do that was very serious? Did he made some girl pregnant and that someone is blackmailing him? Or did he had sex with a female celeb? A female idol?! With all due seriousness, I can't imagine him sexually assaulting someone either, or violating someone too. Did he steal something? Did he steal the company's money? Or... what...? Argh I dunno.
Ok, so let's say this grave mistake is not a lie invented by JYPE, I cannot believe the fact that the 6 members told the company that they agreed Jay can't come back to 2PM. Or let's say they DID reach that particular decision, I ABSOLUTELY DOUBT THEY MADE THE DECISION DURING EARLY JANUARY!!! During the early Jan, the 6 members were on vacation and each members went back to their respective hometowns. There's lotsa Wooyoung fanaccounts, where he was very very very happy back in Busan. They won't be spending their time blissfully if they sealed Jay's fate like that. They're not that heartless. This was one of the evidence that was posted in a thread in 2oneday. Among all the other evidence that sounded pretty plausible, this theory is the one that I absolutely believe in. Who knows, maybe the members only found out during the time the fans found out, which was yesterday? Also, after Jan 3rd, the members have been expressing out their feelings about Jay. Including him in their thanking speeches, even Khun made a statement on Feb 14th in Thailand, that he misses Jay. I cannot believe the date that was given by JYPE. It is very probable that the members themselves don't even know what's going on, or that they only found out about this only VERY recently. Why else would they always stated that they missed Jay or good stuff about Jay? Either they're being used by JYPE and got dragged into this OR the members are very good actors and have been lying to the fans all these times. I'm gonna go with option 1.
Now that the official announcement has been posted, needless to say, fans (Korean and international) are all furious. With good reasons too. They think JYPE is lying (again) which I agreed too. Now, fans are protesting outside of JYPE building and there are bodyguards installed outside the building, for the sake of the safety of the boys and staff. 2PM official fancafe, that has 300K members, are losing members at an alarming rate within few hours after the release of the announcement. As of now, they lose 46 K members already. 2PM official website has crashed. Taec has closed down his cyworld and Junsu has shut down the photo and comment section from public.
Honestly, the whole thing screams "CONSPIRACY!" The date that JYPE has stated in the announcement does not seems right with what really happened. There's a timeline compiled in one thread in 2oneday, and really, that just confirms my suspicions that the members did not have any say in Jay's matter, and that they, like us the fans, truly believed Jay is gonna comeback in the future. Is this why Wooyoung cried yesterday after recording "Win Win"? Is it because he only found out yesterday? Or just stressed up... since the fans are angry and probably blaming him or insulting him for supposedly betraying Jay? Or he is just plainly sad since Jay is like a brother to him and then he has a heavy burden on his shoulders now that the company has revealed Jay's not coming back anymore? Or is it a mixture of all those things? Probably...
I think one of the reasons why fans are so angry and furious (including me) is that JYP has given us false hope. Again and again, they tried to assure the fans "OH! Jay is so gonna come back! Not sure when but he will." Again and again, they broke their own promises, and again and again, they trampled on the fans' feelings.
All I know is, things are gonna get uglier real soon. After all, "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned". Especially tomorrow, at the conference thing between JYPE representatives and fans representatives. And in the bottom of my heart, I know that JYPE had lied (at the very least, IN SOME WAYS) in the official announcement. I sincerely CANNOT accept the dates that they had stated in the announcement. It does not chime in with what really happened in reality. Now I hope nothing bad will happen to the boys and innocent people, and that the people who decided to chuch Jay out and destroyed and crushed all the fans' hopes will receive karma. And hope Jay is safe in Seattle.

If Jay really didn't wish to come back at all, and that he actually asked JYPE to cook up some sort of excuses for him... if he is really content to be in Seattle, and is content to be a normal people, and not a Korean idol singer, if he is trully happy there... By all means, I will respect his decisions and wish him for the very best. But no matter how JYPE trying to erase Jay's existence, or if I began to accept 6 members 2PM in the future, regardless of all those stuff, Jaebeom will always be a 2PM member in my heart, and the hearts of the fans. If he wishes to come back, I will definitely welcome him.

2oneday has posted a thread speculating about the slave contract. Jay made comments before that talked about the slave contract being offered to him by JYPE. It lasted for 10 years. However, the crucial lines that mentioned about the slave contract have been erased or censored (presumably) by JYPE. 2oneday had screencaped the current state of the comment and another pic of the comment without the censors. Some people think that it was because of these comments that JYPE terminated Jay's comments. And that this was the personal mistake made by Jay... the comments about the slave contract.
And now the company is discussing whether the 6 members will continue their schedules or not. Really, JYPE has just got themselves into deep shit. Their announcement are ill-timed. Now that the other members are going back to variety shows, they released this announcement, and obviously, fans will be furious. They could have released the announcement before they went back to variety shows. Now fans are fucking pissed off. -_-

There's rumours that the managers of 2PM and the 6 members themselves have no idea about JYPE's announcement release yesterday. There's this fan's friend, who is a journalist. The journalist knows one of 2PM's managers and she had to explain to him about the official announcement to the manager.
